New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy concludes her sexy Billionaire Bachelors Club series with a fiery romance that refuses to be left at the office… Bryn James can’t take much more. Smart, sexy Matthew DeLuca is everything she wants in a man, but he’s also her boss—the youngest, hottest vineyard owner in the Napa Valley—and he doesn’t see her as anything more than his shy assistant. That’s all about to change. Armed with a hot new look and an attitude to match, Bryn is determined to catch Matt’s eye… professionalism be damned. With his winery’s grand reopening approaching, Matt is trying to stay focused, but Bryn is suddenly making it very difficult. He’s always thought her prim demeanor effortlessly sexy, but Matt can’t deny that her transformation is jaw-dropping …and going to make it very difficult to keep his hands to himself. But when one thing leads to another and suddenly Matt is stripping Bryn bare, he’ll be faced with the biggest risk of his career—and his heart. Can he convince her—and himself—that this might just be more than a no-strings office affair?

Savor is the third book in the Billionaire Bachelors Club by Monica Murphy. This series has been fun, and I enjoyed this final book with its forbidden romance. Mini review: familiar tropes and lovable characters made this a fun, sexy read.

Matthew DeLuca is the last man to fall and by rights should be a million dollars richer but of course his pals want to renegotiate the terms. He claims he plans to collect, but then there is Bryn James his office assistant whose smell is making him crazy. She dresses in beige, baggy clothes and keeps her hair up in a severe knot, but he cannot help but notice her. It must be the stress and late nights involved in opening his new winery because she is not his type. Ooo the tale that unfolds is electric as Bryn and Matthew try to avoid the inevitable.

Matthew is a former baseball player whose career ended when he blew out his knee, and his friends convinced him to relocate to Napa Valley. He bought and restored a winery that now bears his name. I immediately liked Matthew. He is sexy and an all around good guy. Office relationships are taboo but he cannot stop thinking about his assistant and I loved watching him struggle. Bryn James is delighted with her new boss and despite a nasty encounter with a former boss that completely changed her; she cannot help fantasizing about the man. I enjoyed the sexual tension and cat and mouse game Bryn and Matthew played. Previous characters are present. Ivy and Marina meddle with Bryn and of course Archer and Gage get into the game taunting Matthew. It was good fun.

Savor was a fun romance, predictable and sexy romance. Bryn drove me a little batty with her back and forth. She went from“I want him” to fretting over past mistakes and it caused us to backtrack a little. It may have been meant as angst, but it was annoying. The romance built slowly with one step forward, two steps back, but those steps forward were delicious and had me flipping the pages. This is a relatively short novel, and I devoured it in a single sitting. It made me laugh, roll my eyes and swoon. Overall it was a solid read and one I enjoyed.

Savor and the rest of the Billionaire Bachelors Club series offer quick, fun romances and I enjoyed the friendships and interactions. My favorite of the series remains Crave, and Murphy is an author I will read again.

So, Kim… Confession time: I still haven’t read anything by Monica Murhpy. I know, I know… But I have so many books on my tbr list and sometimes I completely forget about some of them.

I’ve registered a new tag for that kind of “back and forth heroin” : drama-llama ! Otherwise, the book looks nice and I like that it takes place in a winery – I live in Burgundy 😉 Thanks for the review !

haha..well sort of but it was low drama. More should I? Shouldn’t I.

I’ve really liked this series too. I don’t remember her getting on my nerves with that but it’s been a few months. lol

    • kimbacaffeinate

That is because in the end it was worth it..LOL Thanks Anna!

Great Review Kim! This was a fun series, and I’m glad you enjoyed Matthew and Bryn’s story overall. Even though Bryn drove you a little batty, I’m glad that it made you laugh, swoon, and have fun!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Lindy I am so glad you enjoyed them too. 🙂

  5. Heidi

You are right, office romances are taboo. I am glad this one kept you entertained despite the forward and backward movement of the romance.

  6. Kim { Book Swoon }

This does sound like a fun series, and I like that Mathew is a former baseball player / turned winery owner in Napa Valley – great setting. I think the back-n-forth would get to me too, but it sounds like it was still a really enjoyable read. Should you read them in order, or can they be read separately? Thanks, Kimba 🙂

    • kimbacaffeinate

I loved the setting for this series and yes..Matthew was a hottie ballplayer 🙂 Because of the overall ARC (the bet) I would but aside from that they are standalone.

  7. Andrea

I really do enjoy this series. It’s not super heavy or angsty, and I appreciate that in between the super dramas.
    Thanks for the review!

One of my friends loves this series and I’m glad to see that you do too, even this wasn’t a perfect read in your eyes. A former baseball player? Yay. I love me some sportsmen, even if former 😀 I love forbidden romances (without too much angst) and this seems like a great one. I can see where this could be very predictable, but it’s one of those books/storylines that you can enjoy even though you know everything that’s going to happen 😀 I’m glad you liked this one 🙂

This was fun and I am so glad your friend loved them too.

Oh another one! I have mentioned before that I don’t know if I’d like them or not, but I am a bit intrigued!

Kimba, these look really good would you say they’re kind of comparable to any of the Harlequin series?
    Thanks

Bryn sounds like she would be a bit frustrating with her push and pull act, but overall this sounds like a fun read. I like my romances predictable (the endings anyway), so I’m a fan of this series. Sometimes a cute, quick read (even one that makes me roll my eyes in places) is just the break I need from darker books:) Lovely review Kim!

    • kimbacaffeinate

These were fun Jenny, and yes predictable but I like you enjoy that from time to time.

  12. Mary

Did he get his million or did his friends screw him out of it? Sounds like he won, fair and square, even though he did wind up falling for the girl!

  13. Jenea

I read a book last week where the guy in the story went back and forth, it kinda drove me nuts, but I still adored him. This sounds like just that case. I still think this sounds like a good romance. Great review!

  14. Franny

I’ve heard so many things about this author and this series, so I guess I’ll have to check it out at some point! Thanks for your review, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Thanks Franny, they are the perfect beach reads or in-between reads 🙂

  15. Nick

I still haven’t read this book yet, Kim, but I do have a copy somewhere. I like this series because they are so much fun and they are short, so they are perfect to read in between longer read. Bryn sounds like she’s going to drive me nuts, but I love these guys in this series!
    Great review, Kim!

These are fun, quick reads that made me smile and giggle. Enjoy Finley 🙂

Oh I totally recommend it. The back and forth made me a little crazy, but when it was good…wow.
