Halloween is a Charmed Time of Year
While others might say Christmas is their favorite holiday, Halloween is mine. I love the spooky decorations, Mother Natures colorful transition from summer to fall, and the brief window of time when paranormal is normal. Perhaps it’s the urban fantasy author in me, but I think Halloween teems with magic. On this night, the fire stained All Hallows’ Eve cauldron tips over, and a vat of glimmering potion douses the young and old in glowing belief. Belief of witches, werewolves, vampires, and the Fae folk abounds. Eyes sparkle as people don the costumes of their favorite mystical and magical beings. The fantasy creatures they’ve read about, and until today, could only dream of becoming. Elves and Ghouls dance a wicked jig in the city streets, casting spells of illusion and trickery. You can venture as close to them as you dare, but on All Hallows’ Eve, it’s impossible to know if it’s magic or deceit they’re spreading. Yes, Halloween is a charmed time of year.
“A powerful half-demon is kidnapped, bloodthirsty werewolves are on the rise, and a planet is dying. A demon warrior and dark elf joining forces are the least of their worries.” Demon warrior, Slade Aesus, is determined to destroy the werewolves controlling his cousin. But a beautiful elf, consumed by her own vengeance, finds the wolves first. Botching her assassination attempt, Annwyn has the most powerful Packs in the world biting at her heels. Both fiercely independent, can the two join forces long enough to fulfill their missions and stay alive?
Half-demons, werewolves, dark elves…eep! Sounds interesting right? I am looking forward to reading this and cannot wait to meet Slade
