I have such an exciting week ahead for you all! Things that Go Bump in the Night kicks off on October 1st and the Fraterfest Read-a-thon begins on Thursday October 3rd. It’s not to late to grab your favorite mystery, horror, paranormal or urban fantasy and join in the fun.  This week also begins Something Wicked so be sure and visit the host daily. This week is also my birthday and somehow all of my children managed to take the day off from work and my daughter is coming home from college. I am looking forward to spending time with them. Today is National Coffee  Day and particpating Dunkin Donuts, Wawa, Krispe Creme, Starbucks and McDonald’s are celebrating by giving away free cups of coffee. Now if you plan it right, you can be caffeinated all day!

Oooh I have ARCs of Delia’s Shadow and Alienated on my review list too. Enjoy your new books Kimberly and have an amazing birthday with your kids!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I am really excited about Delia it sounds so good. Thanks Kimberly, my daughter arrives Monday night and will stay until late Tuesday after we have cake and coffee. I have dropped major hints about the dinner menu and am hoping I do not have to cook..LOL I will be glad to have them all together since at 22, 20 and 19 it gets harder and harder to have them all around the table.

  4. Berls

Happy Birthday! How great that your kids can be with you to celebrate, I hope it’s a wonderful time 🙂

I can’t wait for your review of Alienated – I wanted that one, but Netgalley decided I wasn’t cool enough LOL. Which is probably best, I have books coming out all over the place right now!

Super excited for Fraterfest 🙂 Gonna be a great week!

  10. Maja (The Nocturnal Library)

I have Delia’s Shadow too, but the reviews so far are making me doubt my decision to request. And Alienated looks so lovely, hopefully my request will be approved and I’ll get to read it soon.
    Have a fabulous week, Kim!

    • kimbacaffeinate

I never look at reviews on books I receive..LOL I love the synopsis and hope it delivers for me!

Mice haul – You are planning a bridal shower now? It will be interesting to see the reviews of the darker titles – I won’t read most of them – but there may be some that will tweak my interest. I just hate the results…

    HAPPY Birthday!!!

The bridal shower is for the main character..LOL Good excuse to get together with friends and enjoy some wine and good food!

    • kimbacaffeinate

Randy Yates is my new book boyfriend..yum! Glad Alienated is good, I won’t get to it until the end of the year.

  14. Whitney

Doctor Sleep has been on my radar but I think I need (or want) to read The Shining first. I hope you enjoy it and your fabulous haul of books.

Happy Birthday! Have a fantastic day with your family.

    • kimbacaffeinate

I think that it could work as a standalone, but there are enough references to the Overlook Hotel that I would read the Shining first..it’s a classic!

  15. Belle Read

It’s great that you are going to have everyone together for your birthday! What great kids. Happy birthday.
Thanks for the heads up on it being National Coffee Day and the opportunity to be caffeinated all day. Sounds good to me.
You have some great books for review. A couple of them are already on my TBR. I have started to lineup my Christmas reads too.
I have got to pick up a copy of Doctor Sleep. Are you doing the read-along? I am not planning on it myself, as I have some other things going on, but it sounds like fun.

I don’t drink coffee. I guess I’ll have to wait until January 31 for National Hot Chocolate Day.

I’m looking forward to Alienated. I wasn’t sure on it after reading the description so I didn’t request it. I’m definitely going to be scouring reviews.
