The sweetest temptation   Sophie Sullivan fell head over heels for Jake McCann at the age of five. Twenty years later, the notorious bad boy still sees her as the "nice" Sullivan twin. When they both get caught up in the magic of the first Sullivan wedding, she knows it's time to make him see her for who she truly is…the woman who will love him forever.  Jake has always been a magnet for women, but the only woman he really wants is the one he can never have. Not only is Sophie his best friend's off-limits sister…he can't risk letting her get close enough to discover his deeply hidden secret.  But when Sophie appears on his doorstep, Jake's every fantasy comes to life, and he doesn't have a hope of taking his eyes, or hands, off her. Jake knows loving Sophie isn't the right thing to do, but one look at her and he knows he can't possibly resist.

After the ending of Can’t Help Falling in Love, I was anxious to read Sophie’s story in I Only Have Eyes For You by Bella Andre. This is the fourth book in the Sullivans series, and I have enjoyed this family and their love stories immensely. Three word review: sweet, hot, and deliciously good.

Sophie Sullivan  has been in love with Jake McCann since she was five years old, but he’s never looked at her twice. Determined to make him notice she sets out to seduce him. Jake McCann is the tattooed owner of a successful string of Irish Pubs and he has had his fair share of woman, but the only one he has ever wanted is out of league. When these two tango at a Sullivan wedding the sparks fly, and just maybe these two can get their happily ever after. The tale that unfolds is sweet, romantic and whole lot of sexy. I consumed this in just two sittings as Andre held my heart captive.

I have adored Sophie since book one. It’s not hard to like her, she is a librarian after all, and we both share a passion for books. Nicknamed, “Nice” her extra protective brothers have kept her shelter, especially from men like Jake, but Sophie knows what she wants. Jake has had a hard life, and struggles with secrets despite his success. The man is so sweet and sexy. It broke me that he didn’t feel he was fit to wipe the dirt from Sophie’s feet. Watching this relationship unfold, and seeing them overcome complications had me laughing and sighing. Of course other Sullivans’ are present and it was nice seeing them interfere as I got updates on all my other book boyfriends.

I know I have said this before but Bella Andre has a gift for making you fall for her characters.  I loved that she did a friendship to love romance it is one of my favorite tropes. We get flashbacks from when they were kids and I loved those glimpses into the past. In I Only Have Eyes For You, the couple face a few challenges, and Jake reveals some secrets about himself and his past. It was wonderful watching these two discover each other, and the heat..oh my! Andre, provided just enough details to curl my toes, and make me fall in love with an Irish pub owner. At the end of the book we are privy to a conversation between the last single Sullivans’ and I cannot wait for If You Were Mine which will give us Zack Sullivan’s story.

Fans of hot contemporary romances and family stories will adore I Only Have Eyes For You and the entire Sullivans series. Belle Andre has quickly become one of my favorite romance authors and I cannot wait to share If You Were Mine with You which releases October 29, 2013. Look for my review in early December.

Think Robyn Carr…only a tad steamier 🙂 but still mainstream and the family is wonderful!

This series has a lot of books but it looks like it can be read as stand-alone? I don’t think I can read every book but I have a couple of hers.

  16. Maja (The Nocturnal Library)

I love that they were secretly in love with each other for so long before actually doing something about it. And since it’s a series that focuses on a family, which is my very favorite kind of romance series, I’ll probably start it sooner rather than later.
Thanks for the lovely review. 🙂

I seem to be into books where the female MC has been pinning for a guy since young. So yeah, this book caught my attention when I saw your review. And a librarian female MC? Goodness, I need this book immediately! Thanks for sharing your wonderful review!
