Kim the last rule states that you get extra points for each review linked, recap post, posting about the challenge…how do you guys know if we posted? Does that mean each challenge that I participate in I’ve got to do a whole new blog post about it?

  3. sarah elizabeth

Can you just clear up the whole release date thing? Do ARCs have to be published after May 1st 2013 to count? Or do other books that we received as ARCs, but have since been published count?

Great challenge, just right to give me a kick to clean up :D

  5. Pnrurbfantasyreviews

I need a kick in the ARSE , lately with reading and my ARC pile. So hopefully I will rise to this challenge. :)

no, if you respond in comments of blog challenge, just put link to that challenge in rafflecopter and we will verify your response. If you want you can respond on your goals/update post and use that link..its not complicated, we want you to have fun and not stress.

Yup, I definitely need this challenge. Hopefully it’ll be the kick in the butt I need to clean up all those review copies. Thanks for hosting (:

  8. Jen

I need someone to come over and take over my parenting responsibilities so I can just sit and read! Who’s offering?? You just need to help my a sassy 10 yr old girl and an ADHD/gifted 12 year old boy! Easy Peasy…. ;)

  9. Jen

So happy to join the challenge! I have long list/stack of ARCS that need reading!

  10. Cheli Derry

I’d already planned that May was going to have to be my month to catch up on reviews of my ARCs so this is perfect!
The pile has been getting bigger, I just hope I can get them all done!

OMGosh I can’t wait, this is right before BEA too, so i will be able to clean up before I go!!!

  12. Jen Ryland

This is a great idea. So, e-ARCs and e-galleys count? This could help me get some reviews banked for the summer!

  13. GRgenius

Ooh.. Good luck everyone! I’ll be cheering you on from the sidelines. =)

  14. Sharon - Obsession with Books

I am definitely eager to participate in this challenge! My ARC pile is crazy..

  15. kindlemom1

This is going to be so much fun and a challenge I definitely need in May! There are a ton of ARCs out that I already have that are released in June!

  16. Christine

I so need this! I’m going to write my sign-up post when it gets closer to May, but definitely count me in! I actually might see how many I can knock off before then, and then challenge myself to completely clear the pile of what is left come May — that might be a little too ambitious, but I figure it’s worth a shot!

  17. kimbacaffeinate

i changed the rules to clarify that bit…you only need to grab button now, and link back to us when you do your goal post in May. It was the wording because you were not the only one to voice concern..LOL

  18. Giselle Cormier

Gah! I really should do this! haha. My blog schedule is crazy balls that month though but i’ll be rooting for you to sweep and stuff! haha

  19. kimbacaffeinate

I hear you, I actually review a month ahead of time, for example my reviews except one are done and scheduled for March, and I am reading/writing for April. I am hoping to get a jump on reviews scheduled over the summer.. for more sun time!

  20. Candace's Book Blog

Oh this is a good idea! I have loads of ARC’s from ALA so I’ll have no lack of ones to read.

  21. thegeekyblogger

Bookmarking because I am participating but won’t have a post up until this weekend :)

  22. Heidi

Another great challenge. I will be signing up and doing a post closer to May, I am trying to do March right now!

There are a couple of ways to do it. You can re-size your blog width this can be done by going to customize and then adjusting width. I would try making the blog 1200 width and adjusting the sidebar, since this is probably a problem you run into a lot since your blog is narrow with two sidebars. You can also resize images using photobucket or flicker. Simply copy image to computer, upload to photobucket or flicker, resize and then copy and paste direct url code into button code. The third option is to copy this code:

and just change #’s for width and height till it fits your existing sidebar.

This sounds awesome! Just one question – apologies if this is a stupid question – but what do you mean by ARCs? Galleys? (Advanced Reader Copies)?? Thanks for your help!

  25. kimbacaffeinate

It is not a stupid question. ARCs are advanced reader copies or galleys. Blogger’s can begin obtaining them through netgalley and edelweiss.
