Take Control of Your TBR pile

While I do an excellent job of keeping up on new releases and ARC reviews, my own personal bookshelf has suffered, so I decided that for the entire month of March I would focus on cleaning up my TBR pile, catching up on some series and finally cracking the spines on some of those books I cannot wait to read. So I am clearing my schedule, setting aside the ARC’s and drowning myself in my own pile of lovely books. (new releases on my gotta have it now or die list-excluded..I will still read those, even though they will not count..LOL)

So I am inviting you to join me! Glance over your shoulder at your own TBR pile…*yep it’s that big!* Ya know you want at them and to encourage you for every book you read you’ll get one entry into a Rafflecopter drawling to win a new 2013 release of your choice!

  • Link-up! This is open to everyone. If you do not have a blog then link your Facebook or Goodreads account.
  • Beginning March 1st, 2013 and ending March 31, 2013 at midnight read books from your TBR pile ALL books must have been published before March 2013.
  • Post a review to Goodreads, your blog or Facebook then link it to the Rafflecopter for an entry.
  • Rafflecopter will close on April 2, 2013 at midnight and a winner will be chosen. Open internationally as long as Book Depository or Barnes and Noble ship to you. Prize: New 2013 release. I will do pre-orders as well.

You can use hastag #TakeControl on twitter and share your progress. Share the Take Control Button or this post on your blog, Facebook or twitter to earn an extra entry for each place you share. (Rafflecopter will post March 1st, so be sure and enter them)

*note this challenge can be done in conjunction with any other TBR challenge as long as the book is read between March 1st and 31st.

I hope you will link up and join me! Spread the word and let’s
Take Control of our TBR piles!

I am also hosting a Take Control Read-A-Thon
March 15th to the 18th
look for details to post in January 🙂

Chіcagο pizza is usually meaty (somе variаnts come stuffeԁ with cheesеs аnd mеat layerѕ) and it is
eatеn with a knifе anԁ fork. Αfteг you’ve got the crust rolled out, transfer it to your pan or pizza stone. It also contains asorbic acid, beet powder, dry yeast, defatted soy flour, malic acid, monocalcium phosphate, modified corn starch, natural flavors, rehydrated enzyme modified cheese, sodium bicarbonate, sorbitan monstearate, and xanthan gum.

ѕuppose you сomposed a catchier post tіtle?
I mеаn, Ι ԁοn’t wish to tell you how to run your website, however suppose you added a post title that makes people want more? I mean “Take Control~ March 2013 TBR Pile Challenge” is kinda vanilla. You ought to peek at Yahoo’ѕ front pagе and
ωatch how they creаtе post titles to grab
    ѵiewеrѕ to open the lіnks.

You mіght add a relаtеԁ video οr а rеlatеd рicture or two to get pеoрlе
interеsted about everуthіng’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it might bring your posts a little livelier.

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for
something completely unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

I usually do not drop a ton of remarks, but I browsed
some comments on this page “Take Control~ March 2013 TBR Pile Challenge”.

I do have some questions for you if you don’t mind. Could it be just me or do some of the comments look as if they are left by brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are writing on other online social sites, I’d like to follow
anything new you have to post. Could you post a list of the complete urls of all your public sites like your Facebook page,
    twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

I am so in on doing this. I think i have 20-35 books on my TBR list. Gonna post the stack of them with titalles and get started in march. My personal goal is 12 books.

    Good ck to everyone.

  19. Jasprit

Oh I love the idea of this challenge, I took part in a review pile challenge in august and loved it! But my own books are in desperate need of attention! I can’t wait to get started! I’ve added your button to my blog too! It’ll be good to see how many people sign up! 🙂

  20. Heather (ShoesBooks)

I’m not going to “link up”, as I know I will forget to post links, etc, but I will TOTALLY be participating in it! I have actually been “hiding” from books lately. I am so intimidated by my TBR that I’ve just basically stopped reading, which is awful, as I {obviously} LOVE reading.

  21. Beth E

Thanks for hosting this!! Looking forward to reading everyone’s reviews! Have a great weekend!!

  22. Elizabeth

Yay, this is exciting! My TBR pile is toppling over. I’m totally participating in this!

  23. Melissa Owens

This sounds GREAT! I have been trying to use this entire year to work through a significant number of books in my TBR pile, but I like the idea of using the entire month of March to really focus solely on those books… I admit to interspersing some new releases and new discoveries among my many, MANY TBR books so far this year, LOL. Thanks for hosing the challenge!
