The Sunday Post ~14th Edition

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I am trying to limit my book purchases and failed again this week. Although both were under five dollars ~confessions of a book addict.

News to share: In October I will be hosting my first Read-a-Thon called Fraterfest from October 5th thru the 8th. Click here for details! It should be tons of fun and the perfect chance to tackle that scary TBR pile :)

Hello Trouble in Texas! I like that cover :) hehe, I am staying away from NetGalley until I get more caught up on my TBR..well, that’s what I’m telling myself, but Trouble in Texas is tempting me… as it is the Kindle freebies seem to get me every week. Anyhow, I will have to join in your read a thon to get caught up! Happy reading, Book Savvy Babe

I’m attempting to distance myself from Netgalley at the moment…though I’m not sure how long that will hold on. I like the look of Invisible. I’m thinking about joining your readathon but I have see what kind of spooky books I have.
    Happy reading!

  4. Amy Stogner

Yay for BEAUTIFUL DISASTER! That book is un-put-down-able. I suggest reading TEN by Gretchen McNiel for your scary read-a-thon, it freaked me out reading it at night :).

I’ve been totally interested in reading Amanda Stevens but I keep forgetting to pick it up. I think it’s that whole, “what the hell are you thinking – you have so many other books to read – your husband is going to kill you” vibe I get when I start looking at books in Target. My conscience is very loud these days :D

Nice wins and books for review!!! Gotta go run and see what you thought of Throne of Glass…
    Have a great week!!

  8. Grace Fonseca

Wow you got so many awesome books this week. Its hard to know where to start. Awesome haul. Throne of Glass was very good.

  10. Bea

Hmm, I’ll have to look into that review copy clean-up, that could be beneficial. I’ll probably do your Fraterfest too, I’m sure I can find *something* in my TBR pile.

I hope you enjoy your books!

  11. Barbara W.

You have some great stuff this past week and you forced me to buy a couple of books. Bad Kim. ;) I can’t wait to hear what you think of Red by Kate SeRine. It seems like a lot of us are trying not to acquire too many new books — I look forward to your thoughts on Beautiful Disaster.

  19. Captain Biscuits

I love the cover for Invisible, I’m a sucker for cool and muted colours. I got Beautiful Disaster a while back don’t check the reviews on GR cause its a little off putting seeing a bunch of negative ones, I think it sounds pretty good but need to check it out still. Taken & Blood Lust sound pretty good too :), enjoy your week “cupcake” :3

I forgot to include Beautiful Disaster in my haul! Darn it I will throw it in next weeks. Great haul hon. Now I may sign up for the read a thon but I want to see how crazy my school schedule is first before I commit.

  21. kimbacaffeinate

The cover of Invisible spoke to me..LOL I hope you join the read-a-thon. You do not have to commit to the whole event, the idea is to attack your TBR pile and have fun.

  22. Vicky's Reviews

Oh, Invisible looks nice! And thanks for the info, I’ll check out the readathon in a sec :) I’d LOVE to participate but I’m back to uni in September so we’ll see how many time I’ll have :(
